Awards season is upon us, and here in Lorg Media we are delighted to be finalists three categories at the Spider Awards:

  • Best in Social Media for Fleadh Cheoil 2023 with TG4
  • The Cultural Driver Award with The Arts Council for Culture Night 2023
  • Small Agency of the Year

 

We are hugely excited to be recognised for the work we have produced over the past year, and we are very grateful to those who collaborated with us on these diverse projects – ní neart go cur le chéile!

The Best in Social Media category recognises campaigns or long-term strategies that have achieved remarkable outcomes. The sun was shining as we hit the streets of Mullingar last August to capture video content for TG4’s social media channels, as we supported their live broadcasts of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann over four nights of the festival. The campaign was video-led, and we created a mixture of quick-turnaround content from rehearsals behind the scenes, performances on the streets and voxpops. Content appealed to a wide range of demographics, on which feedback was incredibly positive, with comments from all over the world. The campaign resulted in 3.7 million video views, and 36.7 million impressions on #Fleadh23.

Culture Night is an annual event that celebrates culture, creativity & the arts in Ireland, funded by The Arts Council, in partnership with local authorities and cultural organisations throughout the island of Ireland. We aimed to promote the rich and diverse cultural tapestry that can be seen in Ireland today, and developed a marketing strategy that communicated that this night was ‘One Night For All’. This included engaging content, supported by consistent messaging & the use of our bilingual hashtags. Working with ethnic minorities & underrepresented communities from all over Ireland, we created content that educated audiences on the diversity & scale of events taking place and how they can get involved. The Cultural Driver Award spotlights digital campaigns that have made a significant and measurable impact on culture – within a specific community, industry, or broader society. We are delighted that the Culture Night campaign has been considered for this award, and we would like to thank everyone who collaborated on this project with us, especially Culture Night’s national coordinator, Milestone Inventive, and the great PR team at The Hive.

We are so happy to be up for the Small Agency of the Year category, which is reserved for boutique agencies that have made a significant impact on the industry. Operating with limited resources compared to larger competitors, these agencies must demonstrate an exceptional ability to deliver outstanding results for their clients and contribute positively to the industry as a whole.

From being founded in 2011 with just one employee, to having a team of eight in 2024, Lorg Media creates quick-turnaround, high-quality content with the end viewer in mind.
