With a long standing relationship over 10 years, as the lead creative media agency for TG4, Lorg Media was tasked with creating a strategy to support the Hector Siberia to Saigon travel series. We knew we wanted to create something impactful.

Hector Sibera to Saigon the TG4 travel series aired over 8 weeks where Hector gave us a unique insight into the incredible highs and bone-chilling lows of his latest adventures along his 8,000km journey from Siberia to Saigon.

What We Did

Weekly additional digital first content was produced with well known presenter Hector.  He met and chatted with Irish people in Ireland who had a strong connection with the countries he visited in his travel series.  For example, he spoke with stunt biker Mattie Griffin about the biker culture in Myanmar. Watch it here

The additional content shot exclusively for social media saw engagement on TG4’s channel soar – making it the channel’s top weekly performers on their social channels. 

To increase  traffic to the TG4 Player we devised a targeted social media advertising campaign, directing audiences to the TG4 video on demand (player) after each show was broadcast on TG4.

Weekly competitions €500 USIT voucher where Hector asked a question about the show and the audience had to view the show to answer.
