Lorg Media, Foras na Gaeilge and Beo ar Éigean at the Spider Awards, holding an award

We were delighted to win ‘Best Influencer Led Campaign’ at The Spider Awards for our marketing campaign Creidim Ionat with Foras na Gaeilge in partnership with RTÉ. This particular category received more entries than any other category this year.

The Spiders

Dubbed “The Oscars of Ireland’s digital industry”, the Spiders are the longest running digital awards in Ireland.  Creidim Ionat was a mentor/mentee led integrated media campaign. It saw thousands of people taking their next step on their Irish language journey. Pick a partner and set a goal was the main call to action of this campaign. The online community from every corner of the world participated in the Creidim Ionat campaign. It resonated far and wide with an online reach of 4.3 million people in 84 countries. This led to 83 million impressions and 1.3 million video views on online content to date.

Loretta Ní Ghabháin, founder of Lorg Media, said “The Irish language is the heart of our Creative Agency. We saw how the global pandemic inspired a passionate wave of renewed interest in our language and the timing was just right for our Creidim Ionat marketing campaign. This concept has been bubbling away for years! We’re fortunate that our client Foras na Gaeilge and our media partner RTÉ allowed our creativity to flow. And this week we continue to help celebrate Ireland and its talents and our language as our we create content on the ground for the Oscars in LA.”

The Campaign

This campaign was anchored by three mentors – RTÉ podcast Beo ar Éigean hosts; Áine Ní Bhreisleáin, Sinéad Ní Uallacháin and Siún Ní Dhuinn. They mentored three well-known personalities on their Irish journey; Michael Fry (Comedian), Marty Morrissey (RTÉ) and Marissa Carter (Carter Beauty). As they set themselves an Irish language learning goal. Read more Creidim Ionat here.

The Spider Awards took place on Friday, March 3rd 2023 in Dublin’s Mansion House. The Lorg Media team are just back this week from Los Angeles, US, where we worked for the duration of Oscar week with Irish government agencies, documenting some of the unique stories of Ireland and the Irish in the US. We also attended Social Media Marketing World, a Marketing Conference in San Diego. This was our third time attending to stay top of our game when it comes to marketing.
